The purpose of my email is to let you know how pleased I was about 4 weeks ago when we had a power line go down which shut down our neighborhood for over 10 hours.

I came home and the generator was running. And it was not the day the generator is supposed to test run; so I knew something was wrong.

I called my son as it was after 5PM and asked if he could swing by and see why the generator was running. He said he would but before he came over....would I please check with a neighbor and see if the power was out.

Sure enough, the power had gone down around 3 or so and my neighbor said the generator kicked on within minutes and had been running ever since.

I called my son back and thanked him for his common sense. (The reason I never suspected a power outage is simple--I pulled into my driveway, the garage door went up--came in the house,the a/c was running, things seemed normal. I just never suspected the power was down.)

My neighbors wound up brining over all their perishables for the garage fridge as the power was not restored until after midnight.

Though this was the only time I have had my generator come on since its purchase, I wanted to share with you how appreciative  I was--and am-- that I did not lose my fridge and freezer contents, that I was able to still enjoy my dinner and TV, that the a/c and every other item requiring power functioned perfectly throughout the night and that just being able to avoid all that STRESS was worth a great deal to me.....not to mention having hot water and a cool, dry interior.

And with techs like Rodell I feel even better about my generator long term knowing you have competent, professional staff providing service long after the initial sale--which is why I will keep my service contract up to date.

Having spent the necessary time and due diligence in researching various generator installation firms I am very satisfied with EVERY aspect of my generator installation. Assurance Power Systems pricing was competitive and Russ was great on providing educational comparisons between the different brands and makes. What impressed me most was NOT selling me what I thought I needed (a 35kw or 40 kw) and instead informing me of what I actually needed (the 20kw). The savings was considerable!!

The installation was professional every step of the way from Steve and his crew delivering the generator and digging up the yard for the installation of the 500 gallon tank — to Luis and Bob on the professional installation of the transfer switch (my son worked as an electrical journeyman and spoke very highly of the electrical work they did). And Bill always calling to let me know when work was about to be done/completed.

The yard is back to looking like it was never touched just as Steve described  (pictures enclosed).  Steve  checked   the   sprinklers before leaving (as he had to break through the sprinkler line) to make sure all was well.

And finally your efforts were appreciated in setting up my tank monitoring system.

It is all those little things that make a job like this either a pleasure at the end....or a pain. This was a genuine pleasure.

I hope it rarely comes on because of a power outage but there is a definite comfort in knowing  I no longer have to deal with spoiled food, a house that is to hot and muggy, cold showers and no light after the sun sets.

Dear APS,

Just a short note to tell you what a pleasure it was to deal with APS.  Everyone who showed up at  our project was a polite, well spoken, timely and knowledgeable. Best of all, the workmanship wash first class. – bar none.

What a real surprise in South Florida to find an honest company where quality is important and one  which does what it says it will do, when it will do it, and in a friendly manner.
