After dealing with the challenges after Hurricane Wilma, the ownership of Lantana Chevron decided they weren't going to let power interruptions interfere with their gasoline sales. 

APS designed a backup generator system so that the gas station and convenience store could run at 100% capacity during power outages.  APS has since completed several other backup generator system installations around Broward and Palm Beach County.  This should reduce, if not eliminate, the struggle at the pumps we all experienced in South Florida during the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma.
