What Is Foam Adhesive Insulation

Foam Adhesive HouseFoam Hurricane Adhesive provides an efficient method of bonding roof sheathing to trusses and rafters. Foam Hurricane Adhesive has been called "the super-glue" for attaching your roof to your house.

Testing at Clemson University shows that when Foam Hurricane Adhesive is applied to the sheathing and roof structure system, roofs can be up to four times more resistant to hurricane force winds, than roofs with nails alone! Foam Hurricane Adhesive is a moisture sealing foamed polyurethane sheathing adhesive. The adhesive can be applied to new and exisiting homes and commercial buildings.

Sprayed as a liquid, Foam Hurricane Adhesive quickly hardens into a water-tight seal that strengthens the structural integrity of your building. Where nails fail to keep roofs intact, Foam Hurricane Adhesive helps your roof stay in place by increasing up-lift resistance. There is no other way to achieve this degree of protection! Foam Adhesive is 100% non-toxic, environmentally friendly and odorless.

FAQ's

Q: What is S.W.P. [Secondary Water Resistant]?
A: It's an additional roof protection system when your roof fails.

Q: What is Deck Reinforcement?
A: Your existing roof decking is only secured by nails. InsulStar Plus super glues the plywood decking to the trusses, making it 3 times stronger than code.

A: Yes. [Florida #9975].

Q: Do all insurance companies recognize InsulStar Plus [Foam adhesive]?
A: Yes, it's recognized as both SWR and Deck Reinforcement.

A: No. In Fact, it lowers your attic temperature to within 10 degrees of the outdoor air temperature.

Q: If I have a roof leak, will it rot my roof decking?
A: No.

Q: How will I know if I have a roof leak?
A: Water staining will show up in the soffit/fascia areas.

Q: Will Insulstar Plus protect from tornadoes?
A: Yes, 90% of all tornadoes are under 150mph

Q:What about hail damage?
A: Yes it does.

Advantages

  • Deck Reinforcement: The most cost-efficient storm protection product on the market today. Roofs with Foam Hurricane Adhesive are up to four times more resistant to hurricane winds, than roofs with nails alone.
  • Secondary Water Barrier:  The closed cell insulation is impenatrable by water and protects interior walls, furniture and valuables from water intrusion.
  • Insulation: A 1" thickness provides an R-10 insulation rating and can make your attic temperature within 5-10 degrees of ambient roof temperature.  This results in a 30% average savings on your energy bill!
